The secretariat recently published a technical paper on the creation of an appeals mechanism for the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).1 It provides solid background on the instructions of the CMP2 to create an appeals mechanism, the challenges inherent in the task, a comparative perspective on appeals mechanisms in other international organizations, and arguments in favor of or against certain proposals.
