Air transport impacts on the environment are often discussed with regard to noise, air quality, and climate-related atmospheric effects. This review reverses that perspective to focus upon aspects of climate change that are likely to affect the operations and economics of air transport. This industry consists of several sub-sectors (airports, airlines, aircraft manufacturers, airspace safety and navigation organizations) that will encounter different climate-change effects and therefore have different perspectives on the impacts of climate change on their particular operational and economic concerns.
