The Raúl Estrada Award for Emerging Scholars in Climate Law

On the occasion of its 10th Anniversary, the Carbon & Climate Law Review (CCLR) wishes to recognize the next generation of climate law researchers by hosting an international essay competition for emerging scholars. Ambassador Raúl A. Estrada-Oyuela, a distinguished international lawyer and influential pioneer in the history of international climate negotiations, has graciously agreed to serve as patron of this award. The CCLR Editorial Board invites emerging scholars who are in the process of completing their undergraduate or graduate degrees (including Ph.D. or equivalent) or who graduated no earlier than 1 April 2016 to submit article manuscripts for consideration for the Raúl Estrada Award for Emerging Scholars in Climate Law.

The five best entrants will be published in CCLR Issue 2/2017. The winner will receive a one-year subscription to CCLR and a certificate signed by Ambassador Estrada-Oyuela in his capacity as patron of the award.
